Life is out here doing its damn thing with us! I’m certain you know what I mean, lol. What can you do about it? I don’t know about you but I know what I do about it. There is nothing greater in my life than Spirit and my ancestors. Life goes to make an attempt at my life, but I know where I stand, how I stand and who stands with me.
I have learned to get through life being guided by my divine spiritual support team, which consists of Spirit, ancestors, spirit guides, archangels, etc. – we all have a team). It wasn’t easy to get to this point, to the point of surrender and understanding. I have always associated surrender with weakness, with giving my power away, my power of control. Now I know control is garbage. Now, I don’t want this to be a story of my spiritual journey, that is a story for another time, however, I have pretty much already told that story in mosaic fashion with previous blogs. So let’s just hop right along to the aforementioned point of understanding.
As I learned to set the foundation for my spiritual development, I realized it was time for me to create my life, the life I want. It was time to walk the talk. It felt like I was looking up for the very first time and the world was happening in vivid color all around me. My social media is one of my main sources of information and inspiration and there is literally so much available to me. I evolved to the point where everything local no longer served me or my spiritual development, with the exception of a few. Every day, I saw and learned so much from all the posts and videos. One thing always led to another, and that other opened the door to something better and more informative. The teachers are everywhere and I take notes, all the notes I can. I want to put everything I have learned to use. I want to share with everyone and serve as a resource, as well.
With so much information all around me I am confused as to how to put all of it together. How do I make it mine? Meaning, how do I take it all in, apply it to my life and use it as a resource? What tends to happen (in general, not specifically me) is, things tend to get copied, shared, compared, etc, all without giving credit where credit is due. So that ends up looking like stealing! Ugh, no one wants that. And I feel that for the most part, no one intends for that to happen. In the midst of all that, when everything finally comes together, it all turns into a “who says it better and looks and sounds better” type situation. Honestly, it can be challenging to steer clear of all the mess. No matter where you look in the community, the chaos is everywhere. Sometimes folks end up right in the middle of the tornado without even realizing it.
One of the things I’ve had to be clear about is when I am putting information out there, standing in my purpose and fulfilling my mission, to ensure I am not following the exact same steps as someone else. Ensuring that whatever it is I work on, that it is my own and not anyone else’s, Ensuring the words I choose aren’t mimicking those of others. Yes, I know words are free rein and don’t belong to any one person, but to do your work using the exact same words for the exact same purpose, in the exact same manner to achieve your goals is not a good thing. It’s something that should rest heavily on your conscience, so heavy that you snap out of it and begin to create your work in your OWN words. It can be hard, it can be tricky, but it is our responsibility to ensure whatever our divine spiritual support teams are telling us, we fulfill our responsibilities with integrity.
I find one of the challenges for me is that some folks perfectly express how I feel about a topic! What I end up doing is sharing their post with respective credit given as to not cross that line. I’ve never felt as though I needed to be better than them or compare to see how they are better than me. That isn’t what Spirit wants for us, that isn’t what our purpose here is. Each and every one of us has a specific mission, a specific set of life instructions. We are all a functioning part of the world and if we don’t do our part authentically, then we aren’t doing it at all. When we take from others, we take from ourselves. We take away our own chance to be true to ourselves, to be in the image in which we were created. We aren’t meant to be compared to anyone, not even to that ridiculous image we have created in our head! Yup, you know exactly what I mean.
Why do we do that to ourselves? Why do we insist on comparing ourselves over and over again, to the detriment of our own wellbeing? It’s a sickness, really, one that can easily be remedied, but we choose not to do it. Instead, we participate in the nonsense time and time again. Ugh, we suck. “Get to the point already, Anna” you exclaim! Ha! Well, my dears, I have. I have gotten to all the points. Look, folks…there is no need to feel as though we have to compare ourselves to folks out there in the spiritual community (or anywhere, but because this is the topic, this is where we’re staying) in order to be better or to tear ourselves apart. We are enough, just as we are. REMEMBER THAT. In conjunction, competition is in the same boat. I don’t know who started the rumor that the spiritual community is about competition but they shouldn’t have. It’s false, hence it being a rumor. Do you really think Spirit put us here to fight and tear each other down in the name of being right? Negative. There is plenty of space for all of us because, as I mentioned before, we all bring something different and specific to the table. So stop trippin, seriously.
Spiritual awakenings can be a damn doozy, but with that comes a feeling like no other, an amazing. This is it guys! This is our time! Our number is up and it is our turn to step up and fulfill our mission. Stop wasting time taking the hard work others have put out into the world. Put your grown folks draws on and do your own damn work with your own damn words. You wanna be out here spreadin’ the gospel, then make sure you are worthy of the gospel Spirit has for you. And if for some reason you start to slip into that black hole of self doubt, don’t you dare start comparing yourself!! You know for a fact your sauce is yours and no one else’s so don’t fall for the game. Having said that, why bother competing? Thas right, don’t bother! Stop that ridiculous rumor dead in its tracks and remind as many folks as possible there is room for every single one of us in this here entire world universe. Yup, all of those. Que creiste? Que Spirit doesn’t know what she’s doing? Jokes on you…
